Awww, I'm so glad you're on here! I've missed you, but I've needed a break from that place. I'll add you back. Hope you're doing well <3

Hi, I'm Courtney. I too am in the process of figuring out if I have a drinking issue myself. I don't know if you write about it, but it's practically all I write about. Add?

No problem, I'll add you back. I'm a pretty infrequent drinker (though it's obviously still problematic), so only some of my more recent posts are related to that. But I look forward to reading everything you've written!

No problem, I'll add you back! And I see you're from TX, which is awesome. I just moved to Austin a few weeks ago.

Hello!

I noticed you commented on someone else's post about the interview process. Coincidentally, i'm in the interview process too, but for a Marriage and Family Therapy program. You mentioned you were in a clinical psychology program, so your definitely not far up my alley.

So my interview is next Tuesday. I will be interviewed by at least two people. When I asked the director of the program what to bring to the interview, he said "questions!" So I don't know what "good questions" to ask. Any thoughts on that?

Much appreciated,

-Ralphalph

I applied to pretty research-intense clinical programs, so a lot of my questions were specific to my research interests. But I guess some good general questions would be about the the program's theoretical orientation (i.e. CBT, psychodynamic, mixed, etc.), what populations you'll be working with, what locations are available for training, questions about the location of the program if you're not already living in the area, what kinds of work alums from the program have done, what made the current students and professors decide on this field and this program...

That's all that comes to mind right now. Good luck!

Random, sorry, but I just saw your post in ed_recovery and was wondering what PhD program you're in right now and how it's going for you. I'm in a master's program for counseling psychology and plan to apply for the PhD program at the end of the master's.

P.S. If you'd like a new friend on here, I'd love a new one! I don't talk about much in my journal but I love reading entries and communities.
