Great for Tahmoh! Bad for Helo?

Tahmoh Penikett may have just secured himself the title of Battlestar Galactica's breakout star. He has been cast as Eliza Dushku's love interest in fan favorite Joss Whedon's next series, Dollhouse. Whedon's huge fanbase has been buzzing with anticipation over this project since it was announced earlier this year, and it seems guaranteed to draw

Huh. Good thought. Esp since Joss was set to guest direct and had to cancel out due to commitments. I can't think Tahmoh's schedule would be any less restrictive. It honestly wouldn not suprise me to see a Dead Helo. Actually, now that I think about it, I would be shocked if he survived, regardless of his new role.

I mentally dropped Helo onto the "Likely To Die" list a while ago, and this new job really reinforces it, IMO. It's a much more substantial role than what he's had on BSG, so I'm sure he had to sign some form of commitment contract giving Dollhouse priority over any other jobs. It's possible that Joss and Ron Moore agreed to be flexible with Tahmoh's schedule...but frankly I don't think Helo is an important enough character for them to schedule shooting around him.
