I've been thinking about this quote from a Russian Author: "The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons."

I think he got that one wrong!, so I'm rewriting it to read: "The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by the way it treats its Veterans."

 I am ashamed of the way our government and our country treats our veterans (especially the homeless ones) and how some treat even our active duty men and women.  Places like Cambridge MA and Berkeley CA come to mind.  Our Vets and our Active military do not make our govermnets foreign policy, they are ordered to carry it out.  When politicians ( Read more... )
