Been a BUSY few weeks. CERT Training is over next week, got to spend a few nights training with one of the Paramedics, put out some fires (which btw, you'd be surprised how much fire you can put out with a single can). That was pretty much the feeling I came away with from CERT classes. If they are relying on the green rookies in CERT then they are completely overwhelmed to the point of being useless.

The EMT class sounds very cool. That's a lot of time to invest, but those are some valuable skills to have. I'd be tempted myself. How bad is the cost on such a thing if you don't mind me asking?

I spent Saturday up helping a Boy Scout troop getting their shooting merit badges and NRA certification in rifle and shotgun. That's the closest to shooting I have gotten in a while.

For $18k you could build your own paintbooth and buy all the tools you need to paint it yourself and still save money.

The class varies wildly by State... in NH it's $1,195 which includes everything plus insurance for the clinical portion. Right? for 18K I could even purchase another Pinz with money to spare. I'll check a few more places in town to see if there is something out there which is more reasonable for some very light body work/paint.
