Enough is enough, Dean thought as he grabbed another handful of chips and leaned back a bit in his seat. It had been almost a month since he broke up with Katie, a few weeks since he'd last seen her, and he was tired of dwelling on it. He wasn't spending all his time thinking about it any more, at least, but the quiet moments still got to him, and he was sick of it. He needed to focus.
Flipping to a fresh page in his sketchbook, he began writing down names of people he'd planned to paint, sketching little curlicues and figures in the blank areas as he thought. Getting going on his project again was just what he needed to feel like things were normal again. He hadn't ever really stopped, but it was time he made it a priority again, cut other things out of his life as necessary to get to it. He was itching to do a real painting again, one that wasn't just part of a lesson.
Dean tapped his pencil on the page. Now he just had to figure out who he'd paint.
