Lee looked up and grinned, rolling his eyes and sighing. "I know. All the good evil decorators are unavailable. Just couldn't stay in business after the war. We super-villians are a dying race."

He leaned back in his chair and looked her over. "How are you Turpin? You look pretty good."

Lisa laughed. "Guess you'll just have to come over to our side, then. Plenty of decorators available, and the benefits package is quite competitive."

Walking into the room, she leaned against the desk next to his. "Only pretty good?" she joked. "I'm actually having a bloody brilliant week, and an even better day. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true." She gestured to the paperwork in front of him. "Think all this can wait an hour while I drag you out to lunch?"

"Maybe really good, but the lighting in here...it's hard to tell," he teased. It was good to see her in such good spirits, and he wondered if she and Terry had made up. He certainly wouldn't ask. Knowing Lisa the bit that he did, she'd probably burst into tears on the spot.

"Lunch sounds perfect. What are you in the mood for?"

Lisa fluffed her hair and pretended to "fix" herself. "Well then, I guess we'll just have to get some natural light so you can see just how 'really good' I look these days." She laughed.

"I was thinking Merlin's Garden, but I'm up for pretty much anything if you have a preference."

Lee frowned in confusion. Had she mentioned a Justin? Ex-boyfriend maybe?

"Justin?" he asked, hoping he'd refresh his memory if he had forgotten.

He hadn't thought he was very hungry until they sat down and opened up the menus. Now he could really go for a sandwich or something. "Yeah, I think I grabbed toast this morning. Can't remember." He laughed, "I can definitely eat."

"Justin Finch-Fletchley. He was my best mate in school. He died," she added, dropping her voice a bit lower. It was rather strange to say it aloud again, now that so much time had passed. "When they grabbed us off the platform to go to Azkaban."

Lisa scanned the menu and found exactly what she wanted. Yorkshire Pudding was just the thing to make a day like this even better, stave her over till dinner with Terry. "I always eat in the morning, but sometimes it's more filling than others. Depends how much I run, I suppose."

Lee sighed a little, giving her a sad sort of smile. "I'm sorry." He fiddled with his napkin on his lap for a moment, "That time thing, it's odd, isn't it? Sometimes the war seems like a lifetime ago, and then...sometimes it's just as raw as it was then."

Just then the waiter came by, and Lee gave Lisa a moment to order before asking for a chicken salad.

"You run? Like, everyday?" he asked, as their waiter left. He was always impressed when people worked out regularly. The girls had, back when they lived at the flat. Lee was really more the sort to have a lie in, or laze about with George. If he was in top physical condition for it, well, he didn't really mind.

"Yeah," Lisa agreed, looking at the table. "Hasn't been quite that raw for me for awhile, thankfully. I mean, it's nearly two years ago now. I guess there were moments it was close, when Terry and I weren't talking, but even then there was still...hope, I guess."

They ordered their food, and she sipped on the water the water left behind. "Mostly every day, yeah," she said. "I always liked running, but now it's almost like I have to. Right after it helped a lot. With nightmares and other things.... Maybe it still does, but I just don't notice any more. I just know feels weird to not run."
