Eloise never had a problem with Mondays, and today was no exception. Sure, it was tough to get up sometimes, but generally work was rather slow, making it easy to get back into the swing of things.
This weekend hadn't been much different than usual, other than her visit to her mother's house. It was a necessary visit, as Eloise was trying to make it a point to go home once every two weeks. She knew it was poor form to see visiting her own mother as a chore, but there just wasn't much to get excited about at home these days. Her mum was still seemingly unaware that anything had changed, and it was difficult to have to tread so lightly around her.
That being said, her mood was light considering the heaviness of the weekend. The weather was certainly warmer, and she couldn't be happier to have been able to wear her lightest weight robes to work today. She was chilly once or twice, but it was worth it. Summer would be here in a few weeks, and Eloise was determined to meet it head on. Walking slowly towards the Leaky Cauldron, she debated stopping for dinner. Maybe she'd have to see what the specials were for the day. That was a good place to start.
