It was a lovely day for a walk. Instead of going home immediately after work, Hermione took the path down to Hogsmeade. It was odd to consider that her job at Hogwarts would be ending soon. NEWTs started in a little over a week, and it wouldn't be long after they concluded that school would be over. She wasn't sure yet if she'd be working for a few weeks after classes ended, to get everything caught up, or if Professor McGonagall wouldn't need her once the students were gone.
Once her Saturday job ended, she would evaluate her schedule and make some changes. It was going to be strange to just work at one place and to have weekends off. There hadn't really been that long between her internship and starting at the Association, so it felt like months since she'd just had one job. It wasn't necessarily a bad change, of course. It would be good to have two days off so that she could keep up with chores and see friends and spend time with Harry.
Maybe she'd find a new hobby or two. She could start knitting again, but that required more patience than she ever seemed to have these days. If she wasn't reading, researching, or relaxing with Harry, she liked to stay busy doing productive things. Knitting was more about calm quiet. Of course, it probably wouldn't hurt at all to have moments of calm quiet, but she'd wait and see how things went once she had free time.
When she reached Hogsmeade, she considered what she needed to do and decided to go to Pots and Things first. She wanted to check the prices on bath towels, since she had noticed that two of hers were getting really worn and faded from repeated laundering. It might be cheaper to buy them in the Muggle world, but it was a nice day, so she didn't mind taking a little time to browse. She wanted to get the boys some sweets from Honeydukes and was considering checking out the yarn at Weaver, too.
