Lisa led everyone out into the sitting room, where they would all fit more comfortably. She transfigured one of the chairs into something a bit bigger and sat down, patting the seat beside her as Terry followed.

When everyone who planned to eat had eaten, Terry followed Lisa out into the sitting room, watching with amusement, and a bit of pride, as she transfigured one of the stuffed chairs into a two-seater. With a little smile he took the seat next to hers, sliding an arm round her shoulders.

"Thanks for the meal, Lise," he said quietly. "That was good. Too bad Mikey couldn't stay."

Terry sat down next to her, and Lisa snuggled in a little as he put his arm around her shoulder. The rental houses were nice, but they weren't exactly huge, so this way everyone would have a comfortable place to sit without being too cramped. Plus it was just the sort of night when having Terry close felt right, even more so than normal...and for different reasons.

She shrugged slightly, smiling at him. "Didn't do it alone, but you're welcome." At his mention of Michael, she nodded. "But it's good he can spend it with his family."

Lisa was trying not to think about her own family too much. That wasn't something she wanted to dwell on tonight, even if it had been coming to her thoughts more often than not since her birthday.

Terry leaned back against the two-seater, his hand stroking Lisa's shoulder gently.

"'m glad Mikey's going to see his family," he said. "Probably ought to visit mine soon too. Haven't seen them in ages." He realised he should owl them soon; next weekend would be the first anniversary of his parents' return from Germany, where they'd gone into hiding during the war.

"So're you doing okay?" he asked softly.

Much later, after everyone had dispersed, Padma wandered into her twin's room, dressed in her pyjamas, and sat down on Parvati's bed. She was quiet for several moments, staring off into the middle distance before she finally looked over at her twin. "How are you?"

"Okay. How are you?"

Parvati scooted over and held the covers out for her sister, inviting her to just come lay next to her. "Do you remember the spiders? I used to jump in your bed and beg you to put them outside," she said absently.

Padma chuckled as she slid next to her sister. "I never knew who to feel sorrier for- me, for getting woken up, or the poor newly homeless spiders. I think they gravitated toward you simply because you were afraid of them," she said, with a wry laugh. She tugged a pillow toward her and gazed up at the ceiling of her sister's room.

She was quiet again, mulling over an answer to Parvati's earlier question. "I'm okay, I suppose. Relatively, I mean. Any... plans for tomorrow?"

She chuckled. "That, or they just thought I was less likely to get rid of them."

Parvati shrugged. "Not really. You?" She thought about stopping by and lighting a candle at Phoenix park, but hadn't decided anything yet. "I suppose we could go home. See mum and dad."

Lisa was glad for being able to spend time with everyone, to know that, no matter what thoughts were weighing on their minds, that she'd at least been there. She hadn't been a year ago, and though it certainly was through no fault of her own, it felt good to attempt to return the favour. After all, her friends were the only reason she was still alive and well, in many ways.

When the "party" had settled down for the night, Lisa took Terry's hand and led him up to her bedroom. This evening had come about originally because she wanted to be sure he had someone there for him this weekend, and that hadn't changed simply because a few other people had joined them. Shutting the door behind them, she sat down on the edge of her bed and gave him a little smile. "All right?"

After a few hours, Anthony had gone, and Padma and Parvati were enjoying some n some sibling time. It was just Terry and Lisa downstairs, and he was glad when she led him up the stairs to her bedroom. He needed not to be alone tonight; he didn't think he could stand sleeping by himself. When she shut the door behind them, he joined her on the edge of her bed.

"Okay, I guess. Could be worse. How about you?"

"Yeah, I'm all right." Lisa absently brushed a bit of hair back from his face. "Long night, yeah?"

She wondered briefly whether she should change into pyjamas or just sleep as she was. At the moment she didn't really want to move from the bed, or rather from Terry's side, long enough to go change. She hoped that her presence was as comforting for him as his was for her. Pulling her legs up, she slipped off her shoes, figuring that, at least, would be necessary.

"I'm not looking forward to Monday," she said, suddenly feeling the need to be honest. It hadn't felt right to talk about it earlier, but now, when it was just the two of them...well, she could at least tell him that much.

"Yeah, a long night. Long day." He gave her a rueful smile. "Long year, really, but in the end a good one."

Lisa seemed quiet, almost too much so, but Terry could understand that. His friends' moods today seemed to have ranged from subdued to somber. It hadn't really been a party because it wasn't at all festive. Now he felt drained, and he could tell Lisa was tired too.

"You're not? Why--" Then he remembered. Monday was the anniversary of the day she'd been released from Azkaban. "Ah, right. Must be hard to think about." He lay back on the bed, beckoning her to join him. "You want to tell me about it? We can snuggle while I listen, if you want."
