Cho’s morning at St. Mungo’s had been a busy one so lunch away from the hospital was a welcome break. It was nice change, being outside in the midday sun on a weekday. She made her way to the Leaky Cauldron to find Lisa already waiting for her. “Hello, Lisa. It’s good to see you.”

"Cho, hi!" said Lisa, grinning as she saw her friend walk up. She was happy to hear her voice sounding nice and even; she was getting better at this. "You, too. I'm glad you were able to break away for a bit."

She pushed a piece of hair out of her eyes. "Any idea where you want to eat? It might be nice to grab something to go, find a place to eat outside, don't you think? We wouldn't have to wait for a table in the lunch crowds, and it's completely gorgeous out today."

She grinned at Lisa, “A midday escape is just what I needed today.” She took a quick glance around before replying, “I like the idea of staying outdoors and avoiding the crowds. It should be quicker, too. How about getting something from the Pink Umbrella?”

"Pink Umbrella sounds great," she said as they made their way into the Alley. "A sandwich would be good to carry with us. Apparate to one of the parks or just walk around for a bit."

"Well, I definitely wasn't looking for it, so I guess you're right about opening up the possibility." It actually hadn't been long after she'd really started paying attention to the blokes in her life and how she felt about them that everything had started happening with Terry, so she really didn't know if it was because of her attention to the subject, or if it had just been the right time.

"Sure it is!" Lisa said, laughing. She did an impression of Cho in an overly perky sort of voice that actually sounded nothing like her friend. "'Oh, hello wonderfully fit bloke I met at the pub, how would you like a random snog?'" She giggled even harder. "See? Perfectly simple, I assure you."

Cho found Lisa’s idea and impression to be quite funny and couldn’t help but laugh, too. “You know, random snogging could lead to trouble and if it did, you would be responsible for giving me such ideas.” She smirked, “Since I don’t really have time for a relationship but terribly miss the snogging part, I‘ll admit your random selection approach might have some merit. I could always say afterward, - " She tried to stop laughing long enough to attempt Lisa's impression of herself. "‘Thanks for the random snog, wonderfully fit bloke,’ and just walk away." She burst out laughing again.

"Pfft, trouble. What trouble? What bloke wouldn't love the idea? Snog some fit bird who doesn't expect you to take her on dates and doesn't want commitment?" Cho mentioned the time that maintaining a relationship took, and Lisa nodded fervently. "See? I'm sure there are plenty of blokes in that exact same situation."

Then Cho added to the pretend scenario, and Lisa lost it. She was laughing so hard that she nearly dropped her sandwich, and she was sure several people who'd passed them on the street had given them strange looks. "Merlin, I really have started something, haven't I?"

There was just no arguing with Lisa’s logic. She threw her arms up in acceptance, “You’re right. It’s the perfect plan.” Lisa’s laughter was a catalyst to her own. She began laughing harder, “I don’t need a boyfriend.” She grabbed Lisa’s arm and barely got out, “I - just need - a snog buddy.” She had to dab at the corners of her eyes with her napkin, she had laughed so hard. “Damn it, Lisa, you’re killing me here.” She started fanning herself, mindful of the stares of strangers. No, not strangers. Potential snog buddy candidates. She burst out laughing again.
