Millie had spent much of last week making the rounds with Mediwitch Ratchet, getting to know the routine and learn what sort of observable behavior to follow-up on. It was pretty basic stuff, which she'd done as an intern, but now, it was for real, no one else responsible for her actions but her. Mediwitch Ratchet was at the main desk for the floor, but she'd shooed Millie to make the rounds while she and the other mediwitches took a coffee break.

She quietly knocked on the door, not wanting to disturb, but knowing from the chart outside who was in the room. "Mrs. Weasley?" She came in, closing the door behind her with a quiet click. "Sorry to wake you up, but Mediwitch Ratchet asked me to check on you and Genivieve. Can you sit up?" She had a short list of things to check.

"It is all right. Millie, isn't it? Are you working in this ward now?" Fleur had met her in another area of the hospital last time. "Of course," Fleur said sitting up and tapping the bed with her wand to fix the angle to make it easier on her sore spots.

"Yes. I'm supposed to tell you to call me Apprentice Trainee Bulstrode, but that's a big mouthful, so Millie saves you the oxygen." She gave her a little smile as she pulled out her wand, running through the diagnostic spells she was to perform. "How are you feeling? Anything we should be aware of?" She glanced over at the baby. She was still asleep, all small and squashed like newborns were. She'd ask if she needed to check her as well. For all that Millie was set on being a midwife and mediwitch, babies still gave her some pause.

"Congratulations, Apprentice Trainee. Am I allowed to ask what you are training for or is it secret from ze patients?" Fleur smiled, "I am feeling very well although my thigh muscles are sore and it is still a leetle uncomfortable to use ze toilet. My back is no longer aching, but I theenk my ankles are still a leetle swollen."

She saw Millie look at Gigi, "She is latching on just fine and I am trying to make sure she gets time on both breasts. I am afraid I do not 'ave a good sense of when to switch yet because I 'ave not been able to make it equal time yet. I am beginning to tell better zough. She 'as been much quieter this morning zan yesterday but I theenk this is because she 'as mostly been sleeping when she is not nursing."

Draco was glad that he'd dropped by the office this morning, or he wouldn't have heard the news. Somehow, things like that seemed to pass him by. He was lucky to have a day that was more or less free, however, allowing for a visit to the florist for a bouquet in pinks to match the newborn's gender, and a trip to St. Mungoes ( ... )

"Draco, 'ow lovely. Please come in. Would you like to meet my daughter?" Fleur was holding Gigi, who was sleeping but likely to wake soon, since she was starting to stir a bit.

"I don't want to disturb her," Draco said, glancing toward the baby and then approaching. He gently slid his bouquet in beside another that stood beside the bed, then smiled and looked back at the newborn. "She's beautiful. You must be very proud." It wasn't surprising how beautiful the baby was, considering its parents; not that Bill Weasley looked particularly handsome now...but before, he may have been called so. Draco smiled hesitantly and glanced toward Fleur. "Did everything go well?" he asked, kindly.

"She is close to waking up anyway. See 'ow her little hand stretches like that? It is a sign she is almost ready." Fleur beamed, "She is very beautiful. I am sure all mozzers say this but in our case it is true," she said with a grin. "This is Genevieve Grace Weasley. Yes, thank you for asking. Everything went very well. 'ow 'ave you been?"

News about the birth of Fleur and Bill Weasley’s baby had been circulating among the hospital staff. During a break, she went by the ward to inquire about the condition of Fleur and her baby. Cho had been happy to hear from the mediwitch on duty that both mother and daughter were doing well. As she was leaving, she noticed the door marked Weasley wasn’t closed. She hadn't intended to visit but she saw Fleur was sitting up in the bed. She knocked lightly on the opened door before stepping into the doorway. “Fleur? I just wanted to say a quick hello and congratulations.”

"Hello, Cho. Please come in. Are you training here now?" Fleur thought those were the trainee Healer robes, although she was not sure.

She smiled at Fleur’s welcome. “I just came from the mediwitch station. I was inquiring about you and your baby, but then saw your door was open. How are doing?”

She remembered it had been at least six months ago when she had talked to Fleur about wanting to be a Healer. She smiled, “Yes, I started the program two weeks ago.”
