"Not enough pink," Wayne decided as he looked around. "Seriously, though, you need to decide what color you want it painted. Can work on that for you and get it to be more 'you'."
He followed her into the kitchen and shrugged. "Dunno. Butterbeer is good, if you've got that. Otherwise, I'll have whatever you've got." He didn't know what she had, but butterbeer was usually a safe choice.
"Not going to be pink, that's for sure. I like the light blue idea. Maybe a really pale periwinkle? I've always liked that color."
She nodded. "Butterbeer it is. Are we going to cook something, too? I'm hungry, and you said something about food, if I recall..."
Eloise grinned at Wayne and batted her eye lashes. She liked cooking, but Wayne was much better at it when it came to food food, not just sweets. Truly, he was probably better with sweets, too, but he didn't need to know that.
"Have a good week then? Didn't really see you at all."
"Light blue? I can do that," he said. "You want the whole place light blue or something different for your bedroom?"
He shook his head. "Nah, I cooked earlier. Didn't want to get up here and have to try to figure out your kitchen or need something you didn't have. Hope you don't mind being fed and not having to do it yourself." He smiled and went to get the bag of stuff he'd brought with him.
"Just need to heat it up. Couple of different things to try. Have been on a shrimp kick lately, it seems, so I used this Spanish recipe I found for shrimp in garlic. Also have a basic chicken and rice. Neither one took very long and the cost was reasonable, so I'm curious to see if they're good or appealing," he told her as he opened the containers he'd brought with him.
"Yeah, it was a good week. How was yours? Still enjoying your job?"
She thought about it and shrugged. "Seems stupid to have the whole place one color, but I think I like that idea best. Means I can move stuff around and not have to worry about colors not matching. Plus, the place is small, and too many colors might make it weird. Or maybe I'm just weird," she shrugged.
"I knew there was a reason you are my best friend," she said happily, moving to give him a quick kiss on the top of his head. "Besides your charming personality, of course."
She inhaled and nodded at the food. "Smells great, that much I know. She peeked in the bags and glanced back at him. "All this for us? Merlin, Wayne, are you trying to make me fat?"
"I am, yeah. It's great, really busy and all. I like that a lot. I really liked the shop, but it is nice to just be me and not my dad's daughter, you know?"
