Harry lay stretched out on his bed, looking at the ceiling while Dodger napped on his stomach. He'd been lying there ever since he'd come upstairs from a quick lunch; Hermione had been at work. She was always at work this week -- well, that wasn't true; he didn't know where she was, but she definitely wasn't at home as much. But he should be glad about that, shouldn't he? Easier to avoid her when she wasn't around.

Problem was, he did want to see her, whether or not he should, and so when she wasn't around he was still thinking about her. Wondering if she was thinking about him, and feeling fairly pathetic about it all. He scowled at the ceiling. Last night, he'd done some practice Defence with Ron, all the while hoping that his best mate wouldn't notice him acting strangely.

Dodger's paws pushing against his stomach caused Harry to glance down from the ceiling. The puppy was awake now, and apparently wanted him to look alive as well. Harry sighed, grabbing Dodger around the middle as he sat up. "Time to hit the books again anyway, I s'pose," he grumbled, "Want to go to the library? There's something I need, and I know you like it in there. Anyway, Hermione's not home yet, I don't think, so she won't scold you if you paw the books."

He left his bedroom and went downstairs, ducking right into the library and heading up to the loft where he'd left one of his supplemental books. He stopped dead when he saw Hermione sitting there. She'd been at work when he'd come upstairs; how long had he been lying there? "Er." He didn't know what he should to, what she wanted him to do. "Hi."
