Eloise wasn't getting anywhere with her Divination revising. It seemed there was just something missing from the text book (not that it was surprising) and it was making everything quite a challenge. After looking over her notes for the missing piece of information for a full two hours, she decided to head up to Hogwarts to visit the library.

The tables seemed to be quite full, and Eloise considered going back home once she had her book. She did see an empty space at a table towards the side of the room, occupied only by one other person. Eloise knew the girl looked familiar, and was certain she was a Gryffindor. She smiled slightly, walking over to the table.

"Hi, is someone sitting here?" she asked, indicating the empty half of the table.

Tory looked up from the flyer which she still wasn't happy with, but managing to resist sticking her tongue out at it. It wasn't the parchments fault she couldn't get the words right.

Her first thought upon seeing the girl who greeted her was not Slytherin, maybe Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Old habits died hard, she was bemused to find.

"No, not at all. Please feel free." She moved her untouched revisions out of the way as she spoke. "I'm Tory, by the way."

"Tory, hi," she smiled, pulling out the chair and sitting down. "I'm Eloise." She set her bag down and extended her hand. "I'm a year ahead of you, I think. Hufflepuff. You're in Gryffindor, right?" she asked, despite being fairly certain. She could be wrong though, she might be in Ravenclaw.

She flipped open the Divination book she'd found and turned to the index. Smiling when she found the subject in question.

"In one. Nice to meet you."

As Eloise opened her book, Tory debated for an instant, and then decided to take the plunge. She didn't want to upset anyone but if she didn't ask...

"Erm, Eloise? I don't want to keep you from studying. I know you've got exams in a week or two, but could I run something by you? I really need some perspective from someone who doesn't know me about an idea I have."

She was quick to add, "If you'd rather I didn't, I understand. You've probably got a lot on your plate and not much time."
