RP: Sowing Seeds

Summary: Fleur visits her mother-in-law.

Fleur had planted extra spring and early summer vegetables when she had so many mouths to feed not that long ago. Now, with only Bill and herself at Shell Cottage, she had far too much. The peas, green beans, and many of the other vegetables were easily preserved, but the lettuce needed to be used or it would all go to waste and Fleur was far too practical to let that happen. After she finished harvesting and cleaning everything that was ripe, she set enough aside for her and Bill. The rest of her produce she organized in a large basket to take to the Burrow.
With Molly and Arthur hidden at Aunt Muriel's house from Easter break until just recently, Fleur doubted that the Burrow's kitchen garden was producing much of anything right now. She wondered if that might be a way that she would be allowed to help her new family. Her mother-in-law was a very loving woman, but she also had very particular ideas about how things should be done. Ideas that did not always coincide with Fleur's ideas, or even those taught to her by Fleur's maman, another very loving woman, but one with very particular ideas of her own. Perhaps while she was at the Burrow, she would offer to bring some vegetable starts for some of the things that should have been planted already if they were to have a proper growing season and offer to plant for them herself.
Fleur cleaned up from her gardening and slipped on a clean dress before writing a note for Bill in case he returned from work and found her gone. She picked up her basket of food, walked out past the cottage's boundary wall, then disapparated to the Burrow to find her mother-in-law.
