Percy got ready in front of his talkative mirror, thinking that this was all happening very fast. Not that he and Hestia had done more than a bit of snogging, but he'd found himself craving her company and thinking about her almost nonstop. He didn't question it, for once, and just decided to make the most of his luck. Yes, he was lucky that a woman like Hestia- compassionate, beautiful and witty- wanted him. Wanted him nearly as much, if not just as much, as he wanted her. Who did he know, perhaps besides Bill with his lovely Fleur, was as lucky ( ... )

Hestia smiled to herself when she heard the knock on the door. She smoothed her hair down before answering it, taking in the sight of Percy in a sweater vest. Merlin, he looked good.

"Hi," she said, leaning up to kiss him. "You look very handsome."

"Hello," Percy kissed her back, smiling. "You look quite lovely yourself," he said. He allowed his eyes to drift down, enjoying her skirt and stockings immensely.

"Are you ready? I hope you like Indian food," he said, offering her his arm. "Or like trying something new."

"Thank you," Hestia said, her cheeks warming as Percy's eyes moved over her. Well, he seemed to like what he saw, so it was alright.

"Indian? I love it!" Hestia said, pleased. "Just the other day I was craving Rogan Josh, you know." She grabbed her handbag and her cloak and then took his proffered arm. "All set."

The server came and left, breaking the spell, but it wasn't effective as a distraction for Percy. He watched her eat for a moment, transfixed by her lips. She asked him a question and he realized he hadn't touched his food.

He carefully calculated the width of the table and moved his lemonade out of the way before reaching over and touching her jaw. "Yes," he said, and leaned across, pulling her gently forward to kiss her soundly. "Delicious," he repeated.

He sighed happily when he leaned back, although he knew it wasn't enough to get it out of his system- in fact, he'd want more now- but he focused on his food, cutting a piece of eggplant and tasting it.

Percy's hand was on her jaw and then he was kissing her, in the middle of the restaurant. She slid her tongue along his, tasting spicy samosas and lemonade and was glad he'd taken the reins.

She stared at him for a moment when he leaned back and started eating his dinner with a satisfied little smile on his face. She shook her head with a smile, wondering how on earth Percy had gotten his prissy, boring reputation. He was the most exciting man she'd ever been with, and they'd not gone past snogging so far.

"Can I try some of that?" She asked mischievously.

Percy noted the teasing tone of her voice but just smiled and cut her a piece. "Of course," he said, offering her the fork.

He didn't glance around, because he was sure there would be people staring at them. And he didn't want to have to get up and explain to them that he couldn't stop thinking about this woman's lips or legs and that she was irresistibly smart, because how could they possibly understand? He'd glanced around the restaurant earlier and noticed that no one else seemed as remotely interesting as Hestia, so obviously they wouldn't. So he'd have to keep from looking around. He realized that even his thoughts were going in circles. This was bad. Hestia obviously had a very strong influence on him.

Hestia was a little disappointed when he offered her a fork instead of his mouth, but she tried to cover it with a smile as she ate the eggplant. "It's very nice," she said, taking a sip of her Mango juice. She crossed her legs under the table and her foot brushed against his calf. Accidentally, of course.
