Katie arrived a little early to the Three Broomsticks to see if she could lend a hand with setting up or decorating. She avoided direct contact with Rosmerta as much as she could, which wasn't hard as the older woman was busy making sure she had enough drinks and food to keep all of Wizendom happy and festive for the night. She wasn't sure if Rosmerta had been told about what she'd done under Malfoy's Imperius curse, but Katie wouldn't be the one to tell her. And it was getting easier to see her without panicking. Still, sometimes it was hard for her to be in the same room as Rosmerta, but she was managing okay.
She looked around and frowned. There were sprigs of mistletoe cleverly concealed in the decorations. Well, at least people could ignore it if they wanted to, she decided. Taking a glass of spiced egg nog from one of the bartenders, she sat down on a barstool, and watched as the townspeople began to trickle in.
