When he and Hermione got in from their walk, Harry went upstairs to change and was nearly to the fifth floor before he realised he didn't live on that one anymore. Chuckling, he turned round and jogged back down to the third floor, wondering when he'd stop forgetting.

At least this floor had a bathroom on it, he thought as he reached the third floor landing. Didn't have any other bedrooms, though, and it didn't Have Ron and Hermione. That had made last night weirder than he'd expected. He'd grown used to Ron's snoring -- how could he not? It had been the first time in eight years, apart from that time last year that he didn't want to think about, that he'd not heard it at night. And more recently, he'd become used to leaving his room in the middle of the night, for a drink or to use the loo, and seeing Hermione's light on -- even popping in to talk to her sometimes, or stay with her.

The corridor had been completely dark when he'd woken last night.

He'd get used to it, though. He'd not slept well, but it was to be expected the first few nights, he figured. New place and all. Logically, he knew he couldn't share a bedroom with Ron indefinitely, and having his own space was a good thing. For all of them.

And he did love his new room. He smiled as he walked inside. The blokes at Olympus had done a great job with it, he thought, and with Hermione's and Ron's rooms, which he'd seen last night.

After he'd looked behind him to make sure no one was out in the corridor, he grinned before he ran across the room and leapt onto his bed, jumping and turning so he landed flat on his back, spreading out. It was big, like his room, and there was light pouring onto it from the large window. He'd wanted the room to be simple in design but have a few bits of color -- and lots of room. He didn't think he'd ever get over his aversion to cramped, dark spaces.

He'd not brought everything down from Sirius' room, but all his immediate needs were in here now, and he'd bring the rest down later. There was everything he needed in here. Desk, wardrobe, chair, plenty of places to store his things. He might miss the Muggle pinups that had been on the walls in Sirius' room, but he'd get used to that, too.

When he'd finished his brief wallow in the new bed, he got up and stripped off his shoes and shirt, moving to the wardrobe to get fresh clothes before he went to the bathroom for a quick shower and change. He and Hermione had still not picked up a gift for Mrs. Weasley, so they needed to get that done before it was time to go.
