Narcissa shifted on the sofa in her sitting room, curling her legs up on the other side so they wouldn't fall asleep, and turned the page in her book. The day outside her window was grey and cold, though thankfully at least there was no rain today as there had been for most of the past week. She'd taken Amir Jamaal out earlier, but the grounds weren't as pleasant to ride through in this lingering gloom. It was much more comfortable to recline up here with a cup of good tea.
Lucius was kicking about somewhere, she knew. She thought about finding him and curling up together in front of the fire in his study. Just after this chapter...
