RP: The first dinner guest

Dinner had been satisfying. Hermione seemed comfortable enough around Luna's dad, and their conversation was pleasant. As it happened, Hermione and Xenophilius shared several opinions on House Elf rights, and he was now in his office looking up decent contacts that might be interested in helping with H.E.R.O. Luna was pleased to see them getting on so well, and was just generally pleased- Hermione had really been the first of her friends to be interested in spending time with her family, no matter how small said family was.
She knew her daddy was not the most popular man in Wizarding Britain, but she had been disappointed to note that her friends hadn't quite wanted to meet him, when she loved him so very much.
Hermione relaxed with a cup of after-dinner coffee as Luna cleared off the table and set the dishes to washing, still enjoying the novelty of using her wand outside of school. "How did you enjoy your dinner?" Luna smiled to her friend, whom Demetrius was now soliciting for affection. She took off the brightly flowered apron and hung it beside the pantry before sitting back down beside Hermione and taking a sip of her own coffee, which had cooled considerably.
"I have some chocolate-cloudberry frozen yogurt if you get hungry for dessert, it's quite tasty," she offered, "but perhaps I could give you a tour of the house, first?" Hermione had been looking about curiously throughout the dinner, and Luna thought she might like to see everything. Also, she was excited about showing off her and Dean's workmanship in her bedroom.
