Early Friday morning, Luna opened the door to the Ravenclaw common room. She hadn't helped rebuild it as much as she had hoped to, but her house had been her priority, so she tried not to feel too guilty over it. It looked good, with or without her, though. She sat down in her favorite spot near the window and wondered if it was too early for other Ravenclaws to be up and about, if they were here. She would love to see them- it would make the house feel a bit more like home. Something felt off about the common room, she mused, wondering if maybe everything was moved a bit to the left, or if that was just her imagination.
She had taken up this habit of watching the early morning birds on Saturdays when she was younger, only leaving to get dressed when the students began to come down for breakfast. She hadn't indulged in this pasttime for the last year with the Carrows, so it was reassuring to watch the owls flutter to and fro as her thoughts did the same.
As the sun rose higher in the sky, Luna began to get restless. It was too quiet in the common room. This will not do, she hopped up. She needed some tea, and perhaps a scone. She would come back in a few hours, when there might be more Ravenclaws about, and maybe someone who could tell her where the castle needed help today.
Making her way to the Great Hall, Luna at first reveled in the quiet that was so rare in the castle, and then skipped freely down the hall, making as much noise as she possibly could. She couldn't remember ever having the corridor to herself like this, and she couldn't help but smile as her sandals echoed against the floor. It was different, but not necessarily bad. There was more life in the Great Hall- students milling about, eating and getting ready to work, it looked like. She entered the Great Hall with only a slight skip to her step, and sat at the end of the Ravenclaw table out of habit. Luna poured herself a cup of tea, wondering who around here could tell her what had been decided for the NEWT level students.
