Molly woke up and her whole body ached. She felt like she had aged two decades in the past twenty four hours, and she was sure she looked it too. She eased herself off the mattress, careful not to wake Arthur, and padded downstairs. With the Burrow so full, she would need to get started on breakfast right away. Of course, Fred and George would eat anything she put in front of them...

And there it was. A simple lapse of concentration. A moment and she forgot. She grasped the edge of the kitchen counter as the sorrow overtook her again. How could she be so selfish and forget? She was a horrible, horrible mother. Clearly George agreed. Why else would he stay away? He wouldn't talk to her, or hug her or anything. It felt like she'd lost two sons when Fred had fallen. She remembered the pain of losing both her brothers in one night, of Albus Dumbledore coming to the Burrow and telling her, Arthur catching her as she fainted, waking only to go in to early labour with Charlie. But this was worse. This was worse than being eight months pregnant and finding out your brothers were murdered. Because she felt like she had killed George. Or he was killing her.

She wiped the tears out of her eyes; she had to be strong. She would deal with George later, hopefully he would forgive for whatever it was she had done. A piece of parchment lying on the table caught her eye. She frowned, and drew it to her, her lips thinning as she read Harry's hasty scrawl.

Her face turned scarlet and was heading towards puce as she bellowed, "THAT SELFISH, UNFEELING LITTLE GIT! HOW DARE HE RUN OFF? HOW DARE HE? NEVERMIND THE REST OF US ARE IN PAIN, TOO! NO ONE ELSE HAS FEELINGS BUT RON!"

Tears were streaming down her face as she stomped to the bottom of the stairs, and waved her wand. The Burrow's bedroom doors opened with a loud bang.

"LEAVE. ALL OF YOU, JUST GO. I'M SUCH A TERRIBLE MOTHER, YOU CAN STOP PRETENDING. JUST GO. GO TO BILL'S. GO TO THE SHOP. I KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO BE HERE WITH ME. THE HARPY. THE SHREW." She drew a shuddering gasp, and then sat down on the bottom step.

"Just leave," she whispered. "You'll all leave me anyway. I never deserved you. Any of you."
