Dean rubbed at his arms as he came in out of the cold. London had been cold, but at least it hadn't been bloody snowing. Thank god for magic to at least keep the dampness from soaking through his coat and into his clothes. He saw George camped out at a corner table with a bunch of papers strewn across the table and grinned as he crossed the room.

"Hey there, mate," he said, resting a hand briefly on his friend's shoulder before sitting in the chair across. "Blimey, that smells good. Thanks, I'm starved." He wrapped his hands around one of the bowls of stew, warming them. "How are things? I'm hearing chatter about things going on at the shop, but haven't made it down there yet."

George gave Dean a grin in return, pushing a few papers aside as his friend sat. "Hot stew, cold pint, and good friends. Fill you up quick." He lifted his glass, drinking deeply, then sat back with a sigh.

"Things... are, I guess. Moving along. Hermione had this idea, and I sort of ran with it, and it's kind of taking on a life of its own." He scooted his chair closer, reaching for a spoon, smiling his thanks to the girl who dropped off a basket of crusty dark rolls.

"So, first things. Remember when you told me that I could have that painting? Did you mean it? And... could I still? Because I've got this place I think it should hang."

Dean chuckled. "I hear Hermione's quite good at that sort of thing. Ideas, that is." He scooped up some stew and blew on the spoon briefly before taking a bite. It tasted even better than it smelled.

He scrunched up his eyebrows a little at George's question. If he'd been expecting anything, it wasn't that. "Of course. Got it neatly packed away at the moment, so just tell me where you want it, and I can pop out during the day tomorrow, if you like."

"Keep it packed another minute," George said with a chuckle, sticking his spoon into the bowl and reaching into the stack of papers. "I've just got this... um... place coming along..." He frowned, then pulled one sheet free and spread what looked like a blueprint on the table.

"There. See?" He looked at Dean, and saw that he likely didn't see at all.

"It's the shop. Was. That's where it should go." George tore off a piece of bread and took a huge bite, wondering if he'd made any sense at all. Maybe he should have started from the top of the stack.

George grinned. "Fantastic." He ripped off a piece of bread and bit into it, chewing for a minute, then waved it at the papers. "The tree could even be painted right on the wall there. I can get with the new girl and let her know you'll contact her when you're ready. The window I think might be easier on canvas, especially to put the glass into it..."

He finished off the bread, then took a sip of ale. "You know, I thought it'd be enough to keep me really crazy busy for a while, but once things got going? They're just kind of coming together on their own. I'm glad, just... Yeah. Trying to stay busy."
