Oliver,

I know. It was really really fucked up. And I'm sorry. I've done a lot of stupid selfish things and if I could go back in time, I would undo them all. But I can't, so I just have to try and make up for them.

I am getting the help I need and I'm happier than I've been in a long time.

Starting small sounds really good. Wonderful, even.

Love,
Katie

Katie,

I was surprised to hear from you. I'm glad that you understand that making new friends doesn't erase old friends. I never tried to replace you with Lisa or Cho (I can only assume you're referring to them). You aren't replaceable, Katie. You were simply busy, and as it sometimes happens, we began to drift apart. It didn't mean I didn't love you or didn't think about you--life changes and rearranges people and situations, and we can only move forward.

I'm sorry that I hurt you. As for what I told Dean--seeing as how you never asked me about it, you don't actually know what I did or did not tell Dean. It wasn't a secret about your time in St. Mungo's or your relationship with Marcus. If Dean found out, I find it a bit hurtful that you would automatically accuse me of telling him the truth. But this is all irrelevant now--water under the bridge, as they say.

I don't think it's possible to start over. You and I have too much past, but I'm willing to start somewhere. Owl me when you're free and we can see what happens.

Love,

Ang

Katie fought the urge to write back what she wanted to. It had been a secret about Marcus and why she'd landed herself in St. Mungo's. And Dean hadn't denied that he'd heard it from Angelina, he'd just said not to blame them for her problems. She knew Angelina had told him - who else would have? - and it hurt that Angelina was claiming not to have done it.

Instead she focused on moving past that. Hopefully in time, they could trust each other again.

Ang,

Thanks. I really appreciate it. Maybe we could meet up for tea or lunch sometime next week?

Love,
Katie
