There were other things Pansy wanted to do aside from making apple pie, especially when Neville kissed her neck like that. It's been a week since she'd seen him, and while doing something productive was all well and good, she was struggling to not just yank his head to hers for a nice, long snog.

"Mmhmm," she replied. "I think once we get the hang of it there's nothing to frightening about it." She brought the filling over and began pouring it in the crust. Once they were set to bake, she wiped her hands off and turned to face Neville. "There."

Neville winked at her, "I think that can be said for a lot of things."

"Now then, those are cooling," he nodded toward the pies that had already come out of the oven, "those are baking," he nodded toward the two she'd just put in the oven, "and you are too adorable with that smudge of flour on your cheek. Come here, Pansy," Neville snaked an arm around her waist and used a clean towel to wipe the flour off before kissing her. "Very tasty."

"What do you say we set the timer and go relax while that cooks and the dishes finish washing up?" They only had the last bowl and a few other things left. Neville reckoned it would be good enough if they dried and put them away when the last two pies came out of the oven.

"So you were telling me there's to be another Autumn Ball?" he said pulling her into his lap in the sitting room.

Pansy reached to touch her cheek but soon Neville had taken care of it for her. "Tease," she muttered.

Nodding, she headed into the sitting room and settled onto his lap. "Yes. And yours truly is helping with the planning. I met with Mrs. Tonks on Thursday and she seemed to really like my fall theme proposal. The bit about new beginnings and bringing a community together might be harder to demonstrate, but I think it can be done." She smiled. She wasn't going to assume he was taking her to the ball until he asked. Even though it was obvious, she wanted him to officially ask to be her escort. Silly, maybe, but it was important for some reason.

"What were you so tied up with this week?" She turned on his lap so she was sitting across him and played with his hair.

"You love it. Don't deny it," he said, kissing her again.

"Good for you, love. That shows Mr. Foreman trusts you and it will be great exposure for you personally. Does this mean you'll be too busy working to be able to attend with me?" Neville didn't want to assume she'd be free but he figured she might have some time for him. "Or will you allow me to escort you to the ball, Miss Parkinson?" he asked formally.

"Fall maintenance and doing lists for the clients you didn't help me sort out last weekend. That was a huge help, by the way. Thank you again for coming out and helping me take notes. I wouldn't have finished until next week without your help, Pansy." Neville rubbed her back.
