Ginny sat in the living room at the Burrow, scribbling in her journal. She felt a bit of the pressure had been relieved after talking to Padma, and that was something, wasn't it?
She'd written George, and she'd actually heard back from him. That had also helped to ease her mind. Her thoughts were disturbed by an owl that swooped in through the open window. It dropped a letter in her lap.
Ginny recognized the handwriting, and because she was somewhat shocked, she held the letter for a few moments before opening it. Ginny read the letter a couple of times before she grabbed some parchment to pen a reply.
Oliver,
What an unexpected surprise. It's been at least over a month since I've last seen or heard from you. You're not a shite friend. You have your own life. You're busy. You don't owe me anything.
I've been better, but thanks for asking. It's been a rough couple of weeks, but we're trying to continue moving forward. It is difficult, but I know hope we can make it through
( ... )
Being busy is a shite excuse. I think distracted is better, but it's still an excuse. I'm still sorry.
You will make it through. I know George and Lee, and they're two of the strongest people I've ever met.
It's not imposing if I invite you over, you know. So if you want to come over sometime I'd love to have you.
Almost enjoying? Hm. Well, I guess that's better then not enjoying. I don't know what to say about my department. Honestly there isn't a lot of extra work to be done right now, so that was probably most of it. We have more people then we know what to do with.
I'm fine, and very glad we're still friends. Let me know if you want to drop by sometime. We could get lunch at the Ministry, too. Let me know.
Lunch would be really nice, but maybe on a weekend day. Lunch at the Ministry is rarely pleasant and always rushed these days due to my training schedule. If I'm going to impose on your time, then I'd rather impose as long as possible without Divens breathing down my neck. Let me know when you're free.

Sure. I should be around next weekend, so maybe we can set something up.
