When Andromeda reached Merlin's Garden, she was relieved to see that she was exactly one minute early. She had been delayed while leaving the Ministry, so she had been concerned that she might keep Pansy waiting. It wouldn't do to be tardy to a business lunch, regardless of the fact that she was employing Pansy's company.
She was shown to the table and nodded at Pansy as she sat down. "Good afternoon, Miss Parkinson. How are you today?" she asked as she put down her file and reached for a menu.
"Hello, Mrs. Tonks. It's a pleasure to see you, as always. I'm well, thank you. Yourself?"
She set down her menu having already decided she'd have a salad and pumpkin juice. "I'm so grateful you've decided to employ us for the ball. I brought several samples of things we've done and pictures of ideas I have for themes and decor."
"Andromeda, please. We're working together, so there's no cause to be so formal," she said as she scanned the items on the menu. "I'm doing well. Work is keeping me very busy, which is one reason I suggested that we combine lunch with our meeting."
Merlin's Garden made very good salads, but they also had a turkey sandwich that she enjoyed. Finally, she decided to go with a salad that had turkey and ham because it was somewhat combining both elements. She looked up at Pansy as she closed the menu.
"I don't need to see samples, dear. I thoroughly investigated the business before I made the suggestion of hiring you to assist with the preparations for the ball," she explained. "What ideas do you have in mind?" She knew pretty well what she was thinking of for the ball, but she was interested to hear Pansy's suggestions.
