James whistled as he sent it. He was happy, and the feeling surprised him with the sense of... well-being it offered. He did something else he'd been toying with, filled with a new-found sense of accomplishment (for this world, anyway), and tucked his sweatpants into a bag. He probably wouldn't need them anyway, but hell.

I wouldn't say no to ice cream. Especially if it had caramel somewhere in or on it.
I'm going to try to catch someone I need to talk to for dinner, but we won't be staying out late, even assuming I can get a hold of her. So... Eightish?

He did not entirely know what this meant. Certainly he did not envision an actual baby in the picture, settling down, anything of the sort. All he knew now was that he had what he wanted, after all this time. Tina. Wanting him there. Giving herself to him. It was enough to make him giddy, enough to keep him from asking why.
He showed up, a few minutes after eight (he was getting lazy) and smiling.

But she might have, if she wasn't already wearing a comfortable, simple dress that just happened to be a very flattering shade of green, and which made her boobs look awesome instead of absurdly large and sort of floppy.
She smiled and stepped back, waving him in.

"You look beautiful," he said, standing a little too close for friendly comfort and reaching up to touch her hair. His other hand moved around to present her with a carton.
"Salted caramel?" he queried.

Whatever they were now, it was beyond friendly. She leaned in and kissed him. Lightly, just a hello kiss. But still.

"What, Martha, bored already?" she asked mockingly, and checked her messages.
Huh. Tina Chapel. Well, whatever this favour was, she'd be glad to grab dinner with the head nurse - Tina was about her age, she thought, and a fun conversationalist besides.
