...and furthermore, who knew that people could have a "local forest". lol.

Comparing the relative size of California and Connecticut I guess everything is "local" in my state. :)

It's a bit unusual to see a bat out and about during the day but I read somewhere that young bats sometimes do such unconventional things - a bit like human teenagers.

Oh wonderful pix! Spring bulbs in bloom, ol'Mother Nature is slowly working her magic.

Interesting about the young bat. Bats and mice do not bother me, and even spiders I can handle, but I would like to be hypnotized to take away my fear, total fear of snakes!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, big hugs thank you for the wonderful box of photo memories that arrived last Saturday in my mailbox! In the words of the great Winnie the Pooh, I like the way you think!

Miss ya!

Glad the box arrived safely. It was (and is) great fun to look over the photos and remember the fun.
I don't have any problem with bats - especially since they eat mosquitoes. I would prefer though that they not visit my bedroom in the small hours of the morning as has happened on a couple of occasions. Mice, spiders and even snakes don't particularly frighten me but I'd prefer to meet them mostly in the wild and not in my home.
