There is a girl at my work and she is trying to find a good home for a pure bred Siberian Husky with it's papers. The dog is four years old, male, and unneutered. It loves cats and is very gentle. I doubt she is willing to let him get neutered for a trial period. I mentioned he is a pure-bred.... If anyone wanted to take him it would probably be for breeding purposes.
I don't know if it chews or not. I didn't really talk too much to her about it as I couldn't take it. I can pass on your e-mail though if you still want.

The running away could very possibly be solved by neutering though.

Males tend to do anything to reach a female in heat. When neutered, the dog loses the drive to chase down the female.

Also, there is no reason for this dog to be breeding. It isn't a show winner, nor a trained sled dog, and I doubt it's bloodlines are that prestigious. Responsible breeding dictates that nonshow quality dogs should be neutered/spayed. Most breeders that sell pet quality dogs neuter them so they aren't watering down the bloodlines.

There are many pure-bred huskies in shelters and rescues, there is absolutely no reason to be adding to the dog population with a dog that is not good breeding stock.
