Mark Sandman, 1952-1999

I had meant to make note of it when it came around, but completely missed it. One week ago today marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Mark Sandman, frontman for Morphine. Morphine is on my ipod and I'm sure they'll come up in the rotation today. They always do! My ipod likes them.
And you have a scar from that weekend!

That sucked so much. Huge gash and no bandages. I think I used some tape to wrap paper towels from a Dunkin Donuts bathroom around my wrist. Hence, the scar, which is smaller than it should have been, given the circumstances.

Morphine is awesome. I had the band play them at my wedding. "I can tell you taste like the sky... Cause ya look like rain."

But he died, like on stage. Where do you want to die? I want to die on stage.
