Jim is home free. He's a drifter. I often see him on Shattuck. There's just a hint of the South in his voice, and it's prone to cracking. He has a mustache, his skin is weathered, he stands at five-eight. He's thin. Rugged. Wears a cowboy hat and flannel shirts. Dark colors, always. Blues and blacks, mostly. For what it's worth, "pit bull" is just a type of dog that encompasses a couple of types (like Staffies - both the English & American Variety). There are, of course, American Pit Bull Terriers, but these days AmStaffs & APBTs - unless coming from super reputable breeders - are sort of conflated. A lot of people say AmStaff because it doesn't immediately have the negative connotation of "pit bull."

This really made me miss my dog; I frequently think I'm far fonder of 99% of animals than 99% of humans. I'm not sure I could ever have better companions than the number of wonderful dogs I've had in my life.
