First.. is your title a reference to a Local H song (or god I know that's referenced somewhere else but I can't remember?
Second, interesting view of Taiwan.. same can be said for much of America. Where do you teach? How's pay (if I may ask.. how Chinese of me, I know.. now I just need to abruptly state that your girth is bountiful).
Third, to state who the heck I am.. I'm the person who went to Taiwan to work at the summer camp in Ginshen... A few of my entries and fotos can be found here:

Not too sure about Local H, I know there was an Offspring song by that title.

Yeah. . . I use a lot of punk rock songs as titles for my posts. Talking Heads and Pixies get a lot of rotation, around here. "The Kids Aren't Alright" is/was a reference to The Who's "The Kids Are Alright ( ... )

I think she got to you from me. We went on our little Yamingshan National Park Taiwan Jungle Adventure together, and we're both thinking of going back later this year (though in a more permanent way). And whatnot.

I think that Valis guy is really trying to stretch a weak idea. I just don't see it.

Yeah. . . well, he gets points in my book for getting the fact that Dick was translated into Japanese before the game hit the market.

The argument *is* weak. . . but I'd been wondering IF the two were somehow related.

He'd need to interview someone who worked on the script to find out if the term was actually borrowed and used or just borrowed or. . . I don't know. . .

I guess I thought it was cool, man. . . I wish I could find more essays written about games I used to play. The fucker really wanted to get the word out there. . . Like I said, he gave it one hell of a shot.

Yeah, that's K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing. A game that's sucked most of my free time for the last few months now.
