that's pretty cool, that frankenmuth and the rencen are major settings for your comic buying life as a pre-teen. i had a couple stores in town, and was always able to ride my bike over every week when the new comics came out. x-men was always a big one, loved it... i also have quite the fondness for the writing of chris claremont, the entirety of the 200's really worked for me:: inferno, fall of the mutants, but especially the whole australia thing really worked for me-- i felt like that a bit, trapped in some deserted wasteland, relatively alone. those years were definitely the loneliest time for me, the no-friends pre-teen years. but by the time i was through middle school, thurston moore and kurt cobain had me riled up and i was done moping and was ready to get myself into trouble with the jocks. plus i had become cognizant of a world of comics that had a whole different type of thing going on, outside of thights and superpowers... and that was totally unavailable, with no real way for me to get up to ann arbor until i was old ( ... )

Yeah, man. . . there's a lot on my mind, these days. . . as far as comic books go. . . I'll be musing on that for awhile yet. Check back in a couple of days, I've got something cooking. Thanks for your interest!
