Yuck is right. I'd already lost some respect for this show when they brought up the Rambaby storyline. I can't believe they're going with the 'Sloane is Sydney's father' bit. That'll just kill it, right there. Does JJ /want/ to piss everyone off?
Yep...I think I hear the bells tolling for this one...
I liked it more than that. I didn't love it, and found it uneven, but I think I am going to end up remembering the good bits more than the lame plotting.
I missed an episode for the first time in about a year and a half...thanks for the rundown. I go on the record as saying that last year I said they would pull the Salone is Sids father routine. The writing was on the wall people! Looks like I didn't miss much more than that. Though to see Marshall getting married might have been worth it. He loves Carrie. He really does.
Although I am not an Alias watcher (though what eps I did see were pretty cool), I have come to a couple of conclusions based on your fic and recent observations.
1. Lauren = Monica Reyes. OK, maybe she wasn't evil, but she was still a sucky flat character, and Annabeth Gish couldn't act to save her life.
2. JJ Abrams = Chris Carter's long-lost twin brother.
Actually, JJ Abrams should probably take a peek at CC's television history. I mean, what does CC have to show for the time he was ignoring TXF and letting it dwindle into the horrors of Season 7? Millennium? Cancelled. Harsh Realm? Cancelled before the first 12 episodes aired. The Lone Gunmen Hour? Let's not even go there.
I hope for your sake that Alias doesn't go the way of TXF. *lights candle for Mulder and Scully*
Word! To everything, especially the Weiss. Other than that, I had one eye on the episode and was trying to learn a new crochet pattern with the other. That's how captivated I was.
