And this is the result. Mostly unbeta'd (except for a quick pass by lizbee as I was writing it) and not archived anywhere else yet, so if you've got comments, now's the time to make 'em.

oh, oh, oh...fabulous AND funny! and wonderful! i love your weiss muse. he's most excellent. the voice you use is touching and light and perfect for the subject matter, and i've been just *waiting* for a post-ep syd/weiss fic, and this fills the niche excellently.

plus, this sentence is brilliant: By now Syd had to know as well as Weiss did that if he were going to switch teams, it would not be for the sake of a guy he'd once seen sporting a mullet and a zit like a third eye, playing air drums to Def Leppard with a Cheeto up each nostril.

brilliant, i say. so is the jack bristow garotte bit. so is the whole freaking fic. thank you!

*grins* Thanks! It's always a relief to know that the parts you hoped were funny when you were writing it really are funny to somebody besides you...

Dude!

*beams*

This is great!

I love it because, well, it's good, and your Weiss voice is fantastic. But I also love it because it's something I've been thinking about. I like S/W, and I want to write them. But The timing question is making me nuts. It's too soon, it's too soon, but I want smoochies! This is a perfect way to address it.

*hugs fic*

Wow! Coming from you, that's high praise indeed. I've been hugely impressed with the way you write Weiss (I adored "Five Aliases That Never Were") so... thanks!

And yeah, I know what you mean about the timing. Is it wrong of me to want to get rid of Vaughn in some spectacularly final fashion so that Sydney can finally Get Over It and we don't have to be bludgeoned to death with the Trianvil any more? That's so sad considering how much I loved Vaughn and S/V in S1 and the first half of S2... Vaughn used to be the only ALIAS muse who would even talk to me, and I found him easy and sympathetic to write... but it's really the way I'm beginning to feel. Sigh.

Good work. If we can't get much Weiss on the show, it's up to fan fiction to take up the burden! Nice job filling in one of those "scenes they forgot to shoot".

Of course you know I love this. :-). Just thought I'd tell you in the journal. That, and let you know the username, so you weren't freaked out if I started commenting you.

Wonderful story. I always loved Weiss, and you captured his character and his relationship with Sydney perfectly.
