I'm curious, on the lit business side - since you have two different publishers/editors in the UK and North America, both of whom will presumably be editing and suggesting changes, could this lead to two different versions of the book (besides the usual spelling etc.)? Somehow I've never thought about this happening.

If the book hasn't sold in the US yet by the time it needs to be edited on the UK side, or if the UK edition is coming out significantly earlier (i.e. 8 months to a year earlier) than the US one, then the UK editor does the substantive editing and the US just has to take the book as-is. (Which is what is happening with my third faery book, ARROW.)
