Wanted: One (or more than one) Writing Partner

Jan 10, 2010 19:14

It's been a long weekend, but I am determined to get at least SOME words written in the midst of it, and I discovered this week that having other people writing at the same time and checking in together on a regular basis is quite motivational and helpful ( Read more... )

This is a great idea. I'm writing some notes for a new novel that I hope to start writing tomorrow. My goal is to finish the notes enough to start the novel. I've just returned from a long plane trip and am a little jet-lagged so I may be a bit unreliable, especially if I fall asleep. I'll check back in if I'm conscious:)

Sounds good -- notes are important in the creative process too! (And so is sleep, if it comes to that...)

I think I have what I need to dive in tomorrow. About a thousand words. Mostly backstory and some character sketches, a few funny lines. Thanks, this helped me. I probably would have stopped earlier tonight.

Good luck with your writing! I'm always too tired to write in the evenings, but I'll be cheering you on! :D

In Australia here so it's Monday but I will join in. I'm working on my Chapter Book 'Paper Magic' and currently rewriting chapter four. I hope to get it done and get a good start on chapter five before bed at 2am.

I'm trying to get it all done and dusted by the end of the month so I can do a couple of sample illustrations to send out.

I've finished chapter four and starting on chapter five. Only 3pm here so I'll put a couple more hours in. I might even get chapter five finished too.

This is a great idea, and in the same vein as something I was going to post on my lj.

Can editing count? I'm not (or should not be) working on anything new at the moment.

If I can play...well then I'll be trying to get through the last 18 pages of this first section/book/whatever-it-is. If I'm good and work through Return to Cranford I can get a good start on Section/Chapter 2.

Editing absolutely counts! Any form of work on a writing project is welcome, whether it's first draft or revision or even just a bit of tweaking and polishing.
