Serendipity is a word that sounds like it belongs in an Andrew Bird song, and that's fitting because that's exactly how I discovered his music.

Also, on that link with his concert in the cathedral, check out "Why". It's... wow. To perform with that kind of passionate abandon, when he's obviously an introvert by nature, is really something.

My introduction to his music was him opening for the Magnetic Fields ages ago. He floored me and I've been a fan ever since.

Did you read the essays he wrote for the NY Times a few years ago?
