DOCTOR WHO: "Journey's End"

Well, what do you know. I actually liked that. I kept expecting the whole thing to go down the drain at any moment, but though it started to spiral once or twice, it never completely sank.

I actually found the ending of this series very Tolkienesque-- it was incredibly happy, and yet it was also incredibly sad. For Rose, for the Doctor, and for Donna. I would much rather have Donna alive and forgetful than dead, and you're right-- her family now know what she's capable of, and she *can* grow, and do something with her life. If not exactly what she could have done with the Doctor, then still something worthwhile. So, yes.

I liked it. Quite a lot.

(The Doctor/Rose shipper in me is satisfied. Almost. At least, as satisfied as this series would ever let me be. :P)

Youtube is your friend. For the version with the best resolution, try this person's scans

If you're doing the Sci Fi network, you'll need to see the episodes that lead up to the finale first, at least Turn Left and Stolen Earth.

Basically I am happy because Donna is a) still Donna and b) NOT DEAD. So yays?

True. That was sort of the best bit. Even though I cried.

I loved it with much fangirl love. *g*

Yes, there were a few moments that almost slipped into... um... WTF? But! Thankfully, those never fully materialised and overall I declare this a Great Season Finale. I love that Rose got a more-or-less happy ending. I felt very sad for the Doctor though. He's lost Rose once more. And Donna - his best mate. All alone... *sniff*

Is it very evil of me to be amused that Rose is now stuck with the version of the Doctor who would carelessly commit genocide and her mission is to reform him?

Nope, not evil. I allowed myself a cackle of glee that she's getting the Reject Broken Diet Doctor as a consolation prize.

My hopes are on Wilfred becoming the next companion.
