I find the whole thing pointless. If those who feel so strongly gave up their paid accounts...but they won't, so yep, pointless.

Man I'm so confused by this. Does this mean they're deleting basic accounts or just stopping the creation of more?

At least they're updating with news instead of ignoring the users like GJ did when GJ imploded from all of the LJ users coming over.
