Even though I am still trying to sort out my feelings about OotP, I am finding it very fic-inspirational. But in a different way from the previous books. The earlier ones made me want to write romance. This book makes me want to write genfic.

Next up: a conversation between Snape and Lupin.

*sigh* Being a Hopeless Romantic, I will *always* want to write romance. But of course, now it will be darker. Everything will be darker. And I like that. *tries to squelch goth tendencies*

But yes, I see what you mean. You get to go deeper in this book. Deeper in every way, really.

And just to add, this book makes me much more sympathetic to Snape. Much more.

Heh. I'm discovering the desire to write Snape/Tonks after this. SHe's the kind of character who wouldn't take his insults seriously (Snape: Your hair looks like a rats nest. Tonks: I know that. I did it on purpose.). Then he would call her by her first name, just to annoy her ...
