Sounds good to me, too, except now the phoenix symbolism makes me cry...JKR wasn't the only one to use it to incredible effect in a long-running series this year.

I'm going through the book now but its late. As far as I can see Greyback was stunned. I'm assuming he was captured. But you know what they say about assume. That's the only hole I can poke in her theory. Otherwise, brilliant.

Oh no, I want Snape to survive the whole series.

Oh well, if he has to go, then it must be as part of some BIG ACT.

The flaw I can find is the sentenance in HBP where Harry says that he and Snape disagree over how to defend agsainst a dementor attack. That just has to be in there for some reason, plus it is not explained what Snapes method is. So I do think that Snape will save someone from dementors, but not via a Patronas.

That said, the bit about Tonks changing her Patronas also has to be included for some reason other than to show she is in love with Lupin. So just maybe Snape will change his Patronas to that of a Phoenix. But who from the Order will know that it is Snape's Patronas, as they wont have seen it before ?

Must admit I missed the bit about JKR saying that noone can duplicate someone elses patronas. I read it, but that bit washed over me. That whole answer seems very significant to me.

Still want to iknow that Snape's boggart is, anyone have any ideas ?
