Jo Rowling is Ever So Evil

What did I say in comments the other day about not putting too much stock in anything JKR does or doesn't say about Snape? Here she goes again -- the left hand giveth and the right hand taketh away. In a conversation about wacky fan theories:

Spoilers from Part Two of the Leaky Cauldron/MuggleNet interview with JKR )

Well, I actually thought it was feasible from Book 1, but GoF was where it seemed to get especially obvious.

Love your icon, BTW. Hee!

JKR is decidedly evil. ;)

You're right about how her response can be used to support either theory - since she must know about how fans analyze her every word, that was the only thing she could do. Anything else would be too much of a give-away.

I feel sorry for H/Hr shippers as well, but I'm glad that Jo made it so clear in the interview. Some H/Hr fans are so behind the idea that there's love potions involved between Harry and Ginny as well as many far-fetched theories as to how to sink H/G even after all that happened in HBP that I'm internally glad Jo made it clear once and for all.

Gawd, be careful! Don't you know that there are nutters out there who will take you seriously? And who do not know the meaning of a smiley?
