Preemptive Strike

No one on my flist has in any way offended in this regard, so don't worry (yet), but --

IF ANYBODY SPOILS ME FOR HBP, I WILL KEEEEL YOU.
Just so's you know. Cut tags are your friend! And no putting spoilers (that includes how you feel about what you've read) in the cut tag text either. People who do that will be killed twice for good measure ( Read more... )

friends, hpb, hp, spoilers, lj

Instead of Nathan, how about Nate? Or Gabe? Liz said you knew too many Nathaniels, otherwise I would have suggested that.

And I won't spoil you, I promise. ;)

Has it leaked yet then?

I'm looking forward to Friday, my girlfriend is treating me to a night on the tiles in Harrow (ie, somewhere I wouldn't normally be seen dead) so she can be at the Ottakars for the midnight opening...

Apparently then she's spending the night reading it on the couch downstairs and then cooking my breakfast/her supper first thing in the morning, ships that pass in the night style.

This seems like a plan with no drawbacks from my end...

Promise I won't spoil you, RJA. :)

But YAY!! For Melanie coming back! She's been gone forever; I think the last time I heard from her was when she saw me on the the Today show when OotP came out. :P She must get an LJ!

Here here!

Someone on my f-list said that they read it and didn't give any *specific* details, but wouldn't shut up about it...

Eh...oh well.

Cheers! kryssy

So... I'm not allowed to say something like "I love Jo so very, very much" as a subject line, with "and these are all the reasons why" as the cut-tag text?

Aw, dran. I've been planning to use that as my first HBP reaction post for weeks.

Well, actually, if your reaction is positive, I don't mind. I can always skip the specific reasons you're positive until I've read the book. I just don't like the thought of somebody posting a negative reaction as their cut-tag and making me dread the book instead of looking forward to it. I'm already uncomfortably close to nervous already, thanks to learning that there are legit-sounding spoilers out there somewhere (even if I've managed to avoid the details) and that some people are worried about what they've heard (even if I don't know exactly why).

Mind you, even though I plan not to start the book until Saturday morning, I'll probably be one of the first ones to finish anyway, so it won't be long before I no longer have to worry about spoilers one way or the other.

Well, I probably won't be online at all from Thursday through Sunday, so the earliest you'd see a reaction post from me would be late Sunday night.

Does it help if I say I've read the spoilers and I think you wouldn't be worried?
