I haven't watched Alias this season since the second episode, having finally lost interest in the whole spy schtick, but the stuff you all were saying about this week's episode got me curious, so I decided to give it another try.
I haven't been nearly as interested this season, and I finally realized it was Nadia. I wasn't interested in her last season, and they didn't do anything to make her more interesting. And I certainly don't buy into her relationship with Sloan considering the way last season went.
The artifact stuff was far more interesting than the generic secret chemical weapons stuff they've been doing, and I miss that interesting twist on things. This all make me a sad panda.
As I read your LJ and Alias-related comments therein, I become more and more discouraged. I have only seen the first season--rented on dvd, meaning to do likewise with subsequent seasons--and am beginning to wonder if there is any use at all in even bothering to rent season two or three. (Is three out yet? I don't know...)
Season Two? Absolutely. Two words: Irina Derevko. There's a very good reason Lena Olin is adored by virtually the entire fandom and that people have been begging for her return ever since.
Season Three? Feh. If I were you I'd stop watching just after the end of Season Two and make up your own ending from there. :D
