Agon wasn't much of a gambler, actually. And despite his talents on the footballfield he wasn't known for having a certain amount of luck either.
But now he was running low on money and had no other choice he walked into the casino. It kind of annoyed him that it was this busy already.

While yawning long he walked past the slotmachines, right to the table where they played poker. He was remotely good at the game and maybe, when he played his cards right he could win some money to make it to the end of the week.

And what was even better where the amounts of fine looking women in this joint.
"Aaahn..maybe not that bad after all".

So... here he was, eighteen years old, just venturing back into the actual world, contemplating his future, holding a few go-nowhere jobs in order to pay his rent... and standing just inside the large doors of a rather popular casino downtown. In all honesty, Riku had never even tried to gamble in any game, he wasn't even sure if he knew exactly how to work a slot machine... but there was no better time to learn than the present, right? ... Right? ...Yeah, Riku wasn't all convinced either ( ... )

Agon was still busy with counting the chips he got for the last 5000 yen in his pocket, when a rather funny looking guy sat down across the table.
Slowly he took off his sunglasses to look at him, one eyebrow raised and a faint smirk around his lips.

"Aaa kid...shouldn't you be in bed?" he asked while he sat down and made himself comfortable.

((C: It's okay! btw...I don't really know the rules of poker so I have to look those up first ^^;; ))

Riku looked up at the man currently surveying him from over the top of his sunglasses, brow arched, for a moment before the signs of a smirk started ghosting over his own lips as he copied the other man's movement, arching up a silver brow of his own in response. From the way the guy talked, and the ego seemingly pouring off of him in waves, this was shaping out to be a good choice.

"I decided to skip curfew tonight," Riku said, detached interest lacing his tone as he picked up a chip and rubbed it between his fingers absently, smirk growing slightly. Yeah, this was why he liked casinos, he could find entertaining people who didn't mind his snarky side.

Well, at least the guy seemed to have a snarky side to him as well. Riku wasn't too sure how he'd respond to his own.

[ooc/ haha you and me both XD *EPIC FAIL!!*]

Coming to the casino had been a spur of the moment decision. He’d picked up a book about ‘card counting’ at the library at work and after reading through it and testing the methods inside, he figured it couldn’t hurt - after all, it wasn’t cheating as such - to try it out at one of the casinos in town. If it didn’t work in practice, then so be it; he didn’t plan on throwing all his money away on it anyway. If it did, well a little extra money couldn’t hurt, and he’d make sure to quit while he was ahead just to be sure ( ... )

A casino? Why a casino, of all places? And on a Monday? What the fuck? It wasn't like he had classes the next day, he was off for the summer semester now, but he still had to work. Lavi had given him no choice in the matter, and he had begrudgingly come along. If he didn't agree he knew Lavi would torment him endlessly, and despite saying no about fifty times Lavi had continued to push the issue, pouting at him or giving him the hurt puppy look. Fuck. It was easier to just agree and get it overwith than put up with Lavi's pouting ( ... )

Kairi wanted to get out. And that's what she intended to do. After all, nothing else really happened at her house. So, what was a better way to spend an entire day than to blow her hard earnings at a casino? In her opinion, she earned it. She'd spent all week working her butt off for tips at the nearby restaurant, and this seemed like a perfect way to relax.

She walked into the casino, bright lights flashing into her eyes, and people all around. How long had this thing been open? She could hardly move a step without being nearly ran over. How aggravating. Perhaps she should've brought a friend for protection. Perhaps she would find one in the casino, or make a new one. She hadn't really a clue how to gamble. Sure, she'd seen friends in the past play, but she hadn't really taken a mental note of it.

After the blinding lights strayed away, she headed down to something she knew she could do: slot machines.
