Kadaj liked school. Not so much because he enjoyed learning (most of it came to easy to him, truthfully, he would have preferred a challenge), or even because he had friends to hang out with in-between classes (he was allowed to have friends, really), but mostly just because it was the only time he was permitted to leave the house.

He didn't lead a sheltered life, not even close, but there were reasons his father kept him under lock and key most of the time; and so school was where he could get fresh air, observe people, and even have a little fun.

Of course, his brand of amusement had landed him the brands of slut and tease early-on in his highschool career, but it was true so Kadaj didn't bother to dispute it. As long as word of what he was doing in between classes didn't get back to his father, he didn't care ( ... )

Today had been interesting, that was for sure. Homeroom in particular had been a surprise, simply because they'd recieved a new transfer student; a grumpy boy with red hair. Mahiru thought the teacher had called him "Luke". He was apparently quite the spitfire personality, from what she'd heard of him already ( ... )

As if it wasn't bad enough, it seemed the empty locker next to hers had been given to Luke. Lovely. And now he was having a temper tantrum because he couldn't open it. Before she could say anything Kadaj came over to the new boy and she rolled her eyes.

The first time she'd met Kadaj had been only last month when she had transfered into this school. He'd hit on her, thinking she was a boy, and she'd punched him square in the nose for it. Even now she didn't particularly like it when he was around, though the look on his face when she'd clocked him had been quite amusing, to say the least.

She sighed and picked up the lost of her books as Mahiru tried to come between the two. "Oi, go away Kadaj."
