It seemed that Count D wasn't the only person in the park today. He hadn't gotten the chance to venture from his shop much lately, but today he'd really needed the escape. Cheerfully, he packed his tea set and a small lunch, heading out to the park. The walk there was short and blessedly incident free.

Arriving, he headed into the deeper, quieter section of the park, as far away from the noise as he could get. Hardly anybody came back here, and he loved the quiet it afforded him. Therefore it was a bit of a surprise to find his favorite spot occupied by a young lady. He hesitated for a moment, but she didn't seemed to have even noticed his presence. Deciding it would be fine to settle down, he spread his blanket out a little ways off from her, opening his picnic basket and pouring a cup of tea. Ah. That was much better.

Yuffie hadn't noticed D appear at all, lost in her own little world. At least that was the case until she got up to stretch and switch the song, jumping in shock when she noticed someone else. She quickly pulled the buds out of her ears and stuck everything back in her pockets.

"Hey! Whaddya tryin' to do?! Scare me to death?!" she half shouted at the man, a little defensively but only because he'd startled her. It was the 'Yuffie' way to deal with the unexpected; panic and blame everyone else.

Her outburst startled him a little. D jumped a bit, glancing up at the young lady. "My apologies," he said, smiling. "I did not mean to frighten you."

He looked her over, wondering what on earth the flurry of movement had been about. She was young, he noticed, and a little panicky. "Is everything all right?" D asked.

Yuffie raised a brow, studying the man for a moment. His demeanor was so calm, and she noticed he had his tea set out, obviously going to enjoy the day. She composed herself and cocked one hip out, setting her hand on it. "Yeah, it's fine." Her answer was short, but she tried not to sound too rude.

Hesitating for a minute, she finally offered a small head bow before kneeling down. "I'm Yuffie. Sorry for yelling at you."
