It was strange for Lavi to skip class, let alone to completely avoid him. Usually Lavi would pester him until he threatened to decapitate the redhead, and even then the pestering would continue, more often than not. He knew without a doubt something was wrong, and he really didn't like it.

As he walked down the street, scowling at anyone who came close, he thought about the reasons why Lavi could be avoiding him. There were so many reasons, and maybe he had finally grown tired of their game and moved on. For some reason, that thought hurt him. With a huff at the thought he picked up his pace, finally reaching the bar and opening the door.

He'd received the message from Allen about the audition two days ago, though he never bothered to call back. Walking down the stairs and into the bar he spotted Lavi seated at a table near the bar. The other man didn't look like himself, in fact he looked rather worried, though about what he was not entirely sure. He did know, however, that it had to have something to do with the avoidance.

The door opened and Kanda came in. Lavi didn’t even need to look up to know it was the dark haired man, the other walked in such a way that he recognised the footsteps. Well, one down, one to go.

Sighing again, Lavi brought a hand up to rub at his temple as he sat up, a small smile - because it was all he could manage right then - pulling at his lips. Raising one hand in greeting to Kanda, he tried to ignore the fact that the other did not seem impressed in the slightest - more than likely because of his avoidance stunt.

“Hey, Yuu.” His voice held his usually mirth and yet at the same time made it completely obvious he wasn’t happy at all and in compensation, he forced his smile wider.

From the way Lavi spoke, he could tell something was really bothering the redhead. Wait, why should this concern him? He'd never cared in the past, but for some reason this situation was different from those in the past. A thought in the back of his mind told him this was about him, and if it was, he wanted to know.

Kanda gave him his customary grunt in greeting and took a seat at the bar. There were only two people here, and if Lavi wanted to talk he would. Usually Lavi would talk your ear off. He'd let Lavi initiate conversation, because undoubtedly he would, eventually.

Kanda went to sit at the bar and Lavi returned to his previous position, leant over the table, face buried in his arms. Ignoring the dark-haired man’s presence in the room was proving difficult, but he tried his hardest, his mind drifting back onto his previous train of thought.

He was worrying himself to death about it really, it was killing him very slowly and he realised it wasn’t just worry eating away at him, it was fear as well. What had formed between him and Kanda had formed rather abruptly, without any warning what-so-ever, but if Allen walked through the door on the other side of the bar and Lavi slipped up and everything was revealed, he was scared of losing Kanda, losing whatever it was that they had. That thought in itself scared him as well.

A soft sigh and he bit against his lip, eyes closing over as he continued to try and ignore the fact that Kanda was sitting not three foot away from him.
